The Imperial 1018 LP Pilot Orifice is a gas flow control component of a commercial cheesemelter. It controls the flow of propane gas to the pilot assembly by letting the fuel flow through a.010 inch opening at a regulated rate. This is fitted in the system, and provides a constant pilot flame for burner ignition. In foodservice kitchens, it facilitates the continuity of operation in the repeated heating cycles. This is a vital component of the gas control system of the appliance that is usually checked and changed during maintenance or when fixing performance issues related to pilots.
