The Garland 1046287 Burner Gas Valve 1/8" MPT is a control part that is applied to compatible commercial cooking equipment to control the flow of gas to individual burners. It is closed and opened in reaction to control settings to enable the right volume of fuel to flow to the burner, and enabling the burner to maintain a stable flame and heat production during the cooking activities. This valve is mounted in the gas supply of ranges, griddles, and the like, where metering of the gas is rigidly required. It uses thermostats and control knobs to achieve a steady burner.
