The Heatcraft 5054D Fan Guard is a component made of plastic that is used to cover fan blades in evaporative cooling systems. It operates by placing an outer plastic coating around the 7 1/2-inch fan blades that permits air to flow but prevents blades or objects of origin from coming into contact with the blades. The guard is mounted to the fan housing with 6-7/8 inch centre-to-centre mount holes and correctly aligned and fitted with the guard. It assists in keeping the airflow accurate and prevents the internal components of the system to be impacted and obstructed, helping in the accurate operation of the system.
