The Hobart 998261 Solenoid Valve 1/2 inch, 120/240 V is an electromechanical flow control valve that is used in the compatible dishwashers, warewashers, or other foodservice equipment to control the flow of water or cleaning solution. Under voltage, its coil open or close a valve by operating an internal plunger to permit the controlled flow of fluid as dictated by the control system of the machine. This solenoid valve is included in the plumbing system of the appliance to aid in proper fill cycles, and timing of processes.
