The Southbend P1146 Air Shutter Single Plate is a variable airflow element that fits gas burner systems that have a 2-1/2 inch diameter air inlet. It operates by passing through the air intake part of the burner to add or subtract more volume of air that combines with fuel prior to combustion, which allows it to regulate the of the flame and the amount of heat it produces. The plate with two holes is single, with the 2 holes over the air inlet pipe to the burner, and is fixed in a way that it can be moved in case it is necessary.
