The Star DD-54654 Hi-Limit 495 LCH monitors the temperature of the designated heating area in compatible equipment and interrupts the heating circuit when the sensed temperature reaches its high-limit setting. Placed within the equipment’s heating circuit, the part works independently of the normal operating thermostat to provide an additional temperature-protection operation. When excessive heat causes the limit to actuate, the heating circuit is opened to stop further heat input. This protects the equipment from continued heating beyond the specified limit during abnormal operating conditions.
