Inspect the evaporator coil regularly for frost buildup, dust or debris on the fins — clean gently with water and a soft brush when the unit is off. Check the drain pan and drain line for blockages to ensure proper condensate removal.

• Disconnect power and refrigerant circuit, and fully recover refrigerant per regulations.
• Remove old evaporator coil and ensure piping is clean.
• Mount the coil in the mounting location, securing it level so the drain pan drains properly.
• Braze or connect refrigerant lines, install or replace filter-drier, evacuate the system to proper vacuum, then recharge with correct refrigerant.
• Restore power, start the unit, verify refrigerant pressures and ensure airflow is not restricted over the coil.

Common problems are frost build-up or ice blocking the coil if defrost cycle fails, reduced cooling efficiency if fins get bent or clogged with debris, and potential refrigerant leaks if brazed joints or tubes corrode or are damaged.

It is compatible with Turbo Air refrigerator, including models M3R47-2 and M3R47-4.
