The Anets P8903-48 H/D Thermocouple, 36 inches long, 20-30 mV output, is a component that is used in 1900 series commercial units. It is placed in such a way that the sensing tip makes contact with the pilot flame or burner flame to produce a small voltage signal which is fed into the gas control unit of the appliance to confirm the integrity of the flame. This component aids the system in that it makes sure that the flow of gases only happens when a flame is detected. It is connected to the control and valve system to ensure that it has the correct combustion and consistent cooking temperatures.
