The Heatcraft EFSE-1-ZP Thermal Expansion Valve(TXV) Kit 1-Ton 3/8" ODF Inlet X 1/2" ODF Outlet is operates by controlling refrigerant flow into the evaporator in response to temperature and pressure changes in commercial systems. Adjusts refrigerant injection to keep the evaporator performance constant as system load changes to avoid evaporator flooding or starvation, and adjusts superheat at the evaporator coil interface by sensing and mechanically controlling the evaporator. The valve kit is mounted on the inlet line of the evaporator in refrigeration and cooling equipment assemblys for expansion control, between the liquid line and the evaporator section.
