The Holman HT-197850 Quartz Element is a 900-watt, 240-volt heating element that is 16-1/4 inches long and is used in matching commercial cooking equipment. It produces radiant heat which is used in cooking or toasting or in completing food products as they go through the heating chamber. The element is fitted inside the heating unit of the appliance and is used in conjunction with temperature controls and airflow to ensure a constant amount of heat. Its purpose in the unit is to offer consistent thermal output needed to achieve consistent cooking in the running mode.
