The Southbend 1034900 Door hook is a replacement part that fits on the left hand side of range doors. It works as the pivot and retention point that connects with the corresponding slot, or bracket on the range frame, so that the door can be suspended in place and easily open or close. The hook goes into the designated mounting point in the door, and attaches to the hinge or latch design of the range. It assists in proper positioning and movement of the door which assists in the general operation and accessibility of the door assembly.
