The Traulsen 337-28235-00 Door Plunger Switch is an electrical safety part that is used to sense whether a door is open or closed, and is used to notify the control system. It works by closing or breaking an electrical circuit when the door plunger is used, as doing so actuates an internal contact. Commercial refrigeration and storage units that use this switch have their doors placed in such a way that they affect lighting, cooling, or alarm. It is also used within the system to aid in assuring proper operational responses to door movement.
