The Vulcan Hart 00-836966 O-ring is installed to ensure a secure interface between internal connections in compatible commercial kettles. It is 7/16 inch x 3/32 inch in size and fits into a special sealing groove where it is compressed under pressure of assembly. The compression prevents spillages of hot liquids and maintains internal pressure in operation. It helps in the correct heat retention and safe functioning. Its purpose in the kettle is to maintain sealed joints in order to make the unit work without leaking.
