The Southbend 1008754 Orifice 54 is a gas flow control element that is used with liquid propane. It is installed in the burner or pilot assembly and controls the amount of fuel that gets into the combustion system. Calibrated opening size facilitates the features of the flames and heat efficiency. Adequate size of the orifice is essential in safe operation and stable performance of the burner. Gas flow can be compromised in the event of the orifice being clogged, damaged or of the wrong size. Replacement assists in the repair of proper fuel delivery and stable combustion in the system.
