The Southbend 1164807 Range Igniter Electrode 38" Wire is a type of ignition used to start the burning process of gas burners. It is placed just next to the burner assembly and produces a spark that initiates the flow of the gas which burns the gas. The wire has a length of 38 inches to ensure that it can be properly redirected to an ignition control circuit and still retain a secure electrical connection. By changing the igniter electrode, flame initiation can again occur and burner performance can be maintained in commercial cooking systems.
