The Lang 80401-09 Pilot Orifice is used to regulate propane gas flow to the burner in compatible commercial cooking equipment. It has a 0.016-inch aperture that measures the delivery of gas to achieve the stability of the pilot flame. This is fitted in the pilot assembly of appliances and in the ignition and gas control system. In foodservice, it maintains the operation of pilots and ignition of burners during use. It is usually changed during maintenance, pilot servicing, or when equipment is inspected for proper gas flow and ignition performance.
