Description

The Scotsman 16113001 Thermal Expansion Valve 1/4 X 1/2" controls the flow of refrigerant by detecting the temperature of the evaporator outlet. This valve is fitted in the evaporator inlet section of refrigeration line assemblies and is placed between the liquid line and evaporator assembly. It reacts to pressure variations across the system to ensure controlled superheat by varying refrigerant injection via the orifice to keep the level of superheat constant and balancing suction conditions in the evaporator circuit and changes in refrigerant mass flow rate in response to changes in thermal load.
