The Sertek Llc SRK7000048-5054D Plastic Fan Guard is a protective guard used in 7-1/2 inch evaporative fan with 6-7/8 inch centres of the mounting holes. It is fitted with the fan assembly by the center specified to ensure that it does not come in contact with the rotating fan blades but lets air pass through the ventilation channel. The guard facilitates uniform airflow by ensuring that debris and hands do not touch the blades and this aspect adds to a safer operation and also helps in protecting the fan and other components around it in service.
