The TurboChef TBC102012 Interlock Switch is a door-operated element with a 16-ampere and 250 VAC rating which is installed in compatible commercial cooking equipment. It works by detecting the position of the door, and closing, or opening the electrical circuit based on the state of the door whether it is completely closed. The switch is fitted in the door latch or frame assembly where the switch is connected to the door mechanism. It assists in avoiding the use of equipment when the door is open. Its purpose in the system is to facilitate secure operation through the management of power to internal parts in use.
