Installation Steps

Step 1: Before starting, ensure the oven is powered off and disconnected, and turn off the gas supply.

Step 2: Find the current thermocouple situated near the pilot burner assembly and detach its lead from the gas valve.

Step 3: Take off any mounting bracket or fastener that is holding the old thermocouple to the oven chassis.

Step 4: Verify that the new 100653 thermocouple matches the old one in terms of length and connector type.

Step 5: Position the new thermocouple probe within the pilot flame zone, making certain that the tip is completely exposed to the flame.

Step 6: Fasten the thermocouple securely using its mounting hardware, ensuring that the probe lead is neither bent nor under stress.

Step 7: Reattach the thermocouple lead to the terminal on the gas valve, ensuring it is tight and secure.

Step 8: Turn the gas and power back on, and then test the oven to verify that the flame sensing and pilot operation are functioning correctly.
