The Lang 80504-03 1980 Series thermocouple is intended to measure pilot flame temperature in Lang-compatible equipment. It transforms heat into a 2030 millivolt signal that is acted upon by the gas control system. It is mounted next to the pilot assembly to aid in the determination of whether there is enough heat to sustain the flow of gases. Its position in the system is a control factor that is necessary to safe ignition and further operation. When the damage influences the accuracy of output replacement can be used to recover the correct signal transmission and the burner control under commercial operating conditions.
