The Star Mfg 2T-Z4823 Oven Gas Thermostat is an accurate control mechanism is used to control temperatures to a maximum of 450 degrees Fahrenheit. It has a 3/16” x 7” bulb and a bypass which can be adjusted to maintain the heat by regulating the gas supply to the burner. This bypass adjustment enables its fine-tuning, and the flame is kept at the bare minimum even when the oven is not on, which increases safety and effectiveness. Step1: Turn off and unplug the oven before starting work.

Step2: Remove the control housing cover.

Step3: Disconnect wires from the old thermostat.

Step4: Remove and replace with the new thermostat.

Step5: Reconnect wires firmly.

Step6: Reattach the housing cover.

Step7: Restore power and test operation.
