The TRUE 831994 Defrost Timer With Paragon Bracket mount activates and controls defrost cycles using an internal timing system that alternates compressor and heating operation using preset intervals. It regulates the intervals of the cycles by moving a motor-driven cam that opens and closes electrical contacts to regulate the amount of frost that accumulates during operation, so that it switches between cooling and defrost circuits at the correct times during operation cycles. It is mounted on compatible refrigeration control panels in a bracket mount configuration to be fixed in position in refrigeration electrical assemblies.
