Description
The Manitowoc 040008538 Hot Gas Solenoid Valve Assembly with an integrated coil designed for use in commercial ice machine. The valve controls the movement of hot refrigerant gas through the circuit during specific operating stages. When the machine’s control system energizes the coil the electromagnetic force moves the valve mechanism to open the refrigerant passage. When power is removed the valve returns to its closed position. Installed in the hot gas line assembly works with the refrigeration controls to direct refrigerant flow during operations such as the ice harvest cycle.
