Description
The Manitowoc 40000689 Hot Gas Solenoid Valve Assembly regulates the movement of heated refrigerant in the circuit of a commercial ice machine. Its electrical coil acts as the actuator while the body valve provides the controlled passage for refrigerant flow. The machine control system energizes the coil at the required stage which moves the internal valve mechanism and changes the refrigerant path. When the coil is de-energized the valve returns to its normal position. Installed in the hot gas circuit this assembly coordinates with the compressor and other refrigeration components.
