Description

Market Forge 10-5859 Steam Solenoid Valve is used to control the flow of steam. It Has a 1/2” FPT connection and a 120V electrical rating making it suitable for use in industrial applications. It is only 2-5/8 inches in width, which makes it ideal for installation in confined areas. Designed for use with Market Forge models 3500, ST-10, ST-12, ST-12-TGG, ST-24 and ST-6-TGG, the valve is a normally closed solenoid valve that controls the flow of steam when energized.

  • How do I install the Market Forge 10-5859 Steam Solenoid Valve?

    • Ensures steam source is shut off and the steamer unit is cooled down.
    • Remove the existing solenoid valve by disconnecting steam lines (1/2" FPT) and unplugging the electrical coil 110/120V.
    • Wrap the 1/2″ NPT threads of the steam solenoid valve with appropriate steam-rated thread sealant or Teflon tape.
    • Thread the valve into the steamer’s inlet/outlet steam line and tighten securely.
    • Reconnect the steam lines ensuring proper orientation and a tight seal.
    • Reconnect the electrical supply to the valve coil 110/120V according to wiring specifications.
    • Turn on the steam supply and power; check for leaks and proper valve actuation when steam flow is triggered.
