The Dynamic Cooking Systems 13007-01 Thermocouple 18 inch 20 -30 mV 1980 Series is a flame-detecting component that is utilized in commercial gas cooking components. It works by generating small amount of voltage when it comes into contact with the pilot flame, and this is what informs the control system to either permit or prevent the flow of gas. This thermocouple is placed to the pilot flame of the burner, and it constantly checks the ignition. In the appliance, it is a key security factor, as it makes sure that gas is only turned on when there is a flame.
