Description

The Traulsen 21993 Defrost Control operates by controlling the temperature conditions and indicating the refrigeration circuit to start timed defrost cycles, and initiating the proper cycle start based on system feedback signals. It receives sensor inputs on probes to control compressor shutdown and restarts, and to coordinate heating elements to clear ice on evaporator coils during cycles, but is coordinated with evaporator sensors and defrost termination logic to allow controlled operation periods. It is mounted inside commercial refrigeration units close to the control panel to be integrated into the defrost management circuit to ensure that it is correctly aligned with electrical control wiring assemblies and pathways.
