Description

The Hobart 880016-11 Thermostatic Steam Trap 1/2" MPT is a thermostatic steam trap designed to regulate condensate discharge in steam-operated cooking equipment. Sensing temperature changes it open and close to release condensate while retaining steam within the line for proper system operation, using internal thermal elements that respond to phase change and pressure variations. Sited within steam lines of commercial steamers, it controls drainage to maintain consistent steam flow during operation, ensuring condensate is directed away from heating chambers and supporting steady circulation through connected piping networks without interrupting steam delivery for continuous steam systems
