The Star Mfg 2N-11120-13 French Plate Surface Heater is a 9-inch electric heating element designed for use in compatible commercial hot plates and cooking equipment. Operating at 2600 watts and 240 volts it generates heat through an internal resistance element housed within the solid plate assembly. Installed in the cooktop surface, the heater transfers thermal energy directly to cookware placed on the plate. Four-pin terminals connect the element to the appliances electrical circuit switch and temperature-control components. Working with the units control system the heater provides regulated surface temperatures for cooking, heating, and holding in commercial foodservice conditions.
