Description
The Manitowoc 40008538 Hot Gas Solenoid Valve Assembly with a coil that controls refrigerant movement in a compatible commercial ice machine. The valve is installed within the portion of the refrigeration circuit and provides an electrically operated passage for heated part. When the control system energizes the coil the electromagnetic actuator moves the internal valve to permit gas flow through the circuit. Removing electrical power allows the valve to return to its closed position. This controlled refrigerant routing supports the machine’s ice release process by directing heat toward the evaporator during the harvest stage.
