Description

The T&S Brass B-3950 Steam Pressure Safety Relief Valve is a pressure-regulating component that provides automatic steam release within commercial systems. The valve has a 3/4" FPT connection, a 5 PSI pressure setting, and a rated discharge capacity of 290 LBS/HR. It is mounted at a designated relief point within the steam circuit where internal pressure acts on the valve mechanism. When pressure reaches the preset level, the valve opens to discharge steam from the system. The mechanism closes as pressure decreases below the release point. This operation provides a defined relief path for excess steam during heating and steam processing cycles.
