The Keating 004168 Flame Switch is a safety part that is installed in gas fryers to detect the presence of burner flame when it is on. It is fitted in the control circuit of the fryer to sense the condition of flames and initiate the system to re-establish or cut off gas flow as necessary. Commercially, this switch can be used to avoid unburned gas being released on ignition failure or loss of the flame. It is a essential component of the safety system of the fryer that allows burners to be turned on only in case of adequate combustion.
