The Cleveland 1038814 Steamer Element with gasket uses electrical power to convert it into heat which increases the temperature of water to create steam inside the system. The 8000W, 480Vdesign enables the element to produce uniform heating by direct immersion, and the gasket provides a seal to avoid leakage during use. It is fitted in the heating section of the steamer, and is usually mounted by a 2-1/4" 3" square hole in the center, where it is actually in contact with water. The component is ensuring the steam production needed for cooking in commercial kitchen equipment.
