The Cleveland 22226 Bottom Mount Air is an airflow component that can be used in units to permit flow through the commercial system. The vent is mounted in the bottom portion of the unit to aid in the ventilation and pressure equalization of the unit. This vent has a 1/2" x 3/4" fit design which allows it to be connected to the specified fits in the assembly. It's widely used in commercial kitchen systems, connecting to internal air channels. It's usually replaced during repair, due to clogging or damage, to maintain adequate airflow during operation.
