The Hobart 277112 Vacuum Breaker 3/4" NPT is a plumbing secure system that is used to stop unwanted reverse flow in connected equipment and water supply systems by allowing air to enter the water line when negative pressure is present. It work by mean of an internal check and air inlet assembly that senses the pressure drop and releases air to the atmosphere to stop siphon action and stabilize flow direction in the piping system when water conditions change. Mounted in water distribution systems of commercial kitchens or plumbing systems where backflow prevention is needed.
