The Hobart 342170-1 Element is a high power commercial cooking oven element, 10,500 watts at 208V. Dimensions are 26-1/4" x 16-1/2" x 9"H and designed to fit several Hobart and Vulcan oven models such as the CN90A, CN90B, CN90C, CN91, CN91B, CN92C, CN95 and the Vulcan ECO4S. This heavy use durable element works efficiently and consistently to bake, roast, and broil. The Element’s build is tough for longevity, it’s compatible with most commercial ovens and it heats up fast to high temperatures, so the food cooks evenly and efficiently.

What maintenance is required for the Hobart 342170-1 Element?

Inspect oven element regularly for signs of damage

How do I install the Hobart 342170-1 Element?

Turn off power to the oven and make sure it's cooled down.
Remove the access panel to reach old heating element.
Note and remove wiring from the existing element (flag?type terminals).
Removed the old element mount and take out the element.
Install the Element into the original mounting, align and secure properly.
Reconnect wiring exactly as before.
Replace the access panel, restore power 208V, then run the oven to verify it heats correctly and evenly.
