The Hobart 714321 Flame Switch has a 36" cap tube and a 3/16" diameter by 2" bulb that operates by detecting the temperature fluctuations in the heating system to assist in controlling the burner operation. It reacts to the heat level and sends that information through the connected capillary tube to allow the system to work properly. This part is fitted in the heating system of the appliance with the bulb directly facing the area under inspection. Its built-in tube length allows it to be easily adjusted during installation.
