The Hobart 843809 Convection Steamer Tank Gasket is a sealing gasket that is used in commercial convection steamers. It is placed between the steamer tank and removable parts to form a tight fit that assists in keeping steam and moisture inside during cooking periods. This gasket is installed on the tank opening perimeter and in conjunction with the steamer lid or door assembly this gasket helps to maintain the internal pressure and uniform distribution of steam. Its purpose in the system is to assist in the efficient steam retention and temperature control during normal operation in the foodservice kitchens.
