The Edlund A348 BAR Can Opener with Base 11" is built to be mounted to a counter and is used in commercial kitchens to open large food cans. It is mounted to a table, and the cutting assembly interacts with the lids of cans as the handle is turned. This enables multiple cans to be opened with uniform results. It is often found in large-scale preparation kitchens and use in efficient bulk ingredient preparation. It is mainly replaced when damage occurs on the cutting and alignment, enabling the unit to be used while it is being replaced.
