The American Range A80000 Pilot Safety Valve 3/8" FPT X 3/16" Tube is designed to regulate the flow of gas to a pilot burner, which automatically shuts off the gas supply in the event the pilot flame is extinguished. It works by detecting the existence of the flame, and halting gas flow to avoid accidental discharge in the event that the flame is not detected. This part is normally fitted on commercial cooking system like ovens, ranges, and griddles, and it is directly connected to the pilot line by its threaded inlet and outlet fittings to fit well into the gas system.
