The Dormont B-125 Snapfast Gas Quick Disconnect 1-1/4" combines a coupling mechanism that allows the controlled connection and disconnection of a gas supply line, and an internal thermal shutoff element that closes the flow path in response to high temperatures. It keeps the flow constant during normal operation and seals the supply when the thermal limit is reached and does not allow any additional flow through the valve body. It is commonly installed in-line in gas piping systems between the fixed supply line and the connected appliance, to provide easy access to equipment servicing and maintenance access points in commercial or residential gas distribution systems.
