The Blodgett 52716 Oven Door Gasket is made to fit compatible commercial oven doors to form a closed perimeter around the cooking cavity. This gasket creates a boundary between the door frame and the body of the oven to minimize the amount of heat that is lost during the operation. It is installed along the inner door channel and compresses as the door closes in order to keep the temperature in the chamber consistent. In the oven system, it helps in the regulated heat retention and helps in the regulation of the cooking conditions in the commercial kitchen system.
