The Garland G01479-1 Safety Valve is a J-type gas control component to regulate gas flow and maintain pilot safety within the heating system used in commercial systems. It has 3/8-inch NPT gas inlet and outlet fittings, 3/16-inch CCT pilot inlet and outlet fittings to permit compatibility in gas burner and pilot assemblies. This valve can be found in most commercial appliances and foodservice applications in restaurants, institutional kitchens and catering. In use it is used to observe the conditions of the pilot flame and to automatically interrupt gas supply if the pilot is extinguished, and aiding in the controlled and safe operation of the appliance.
