The Component Hardware Group K50-X138-S Vacuum Breaker 1/2" NPT is a water line security part used in commercial kitchen equipment. To stop the dirty water from flowing backward into the supply, it open to let air into line when pressure drops, which breaks the vacuum and keeps water moving in the right direction. This protects the system from backflow issues during operation. It is fitted into a 1/2-inch NPT threaded connection on the water inlet line, sitting between the water source and the equipment, where it works in the background whenever pressure changes happen in the system.
