The APW 21748900 White PTFE Nylon Bearing was a low-friction bearing, which was to be used to support rotating or sliding shafts. It operates through providing a smooth internal surface that can be moved in a controlled manner whilst being in the right alignment when under load. Its inner diameter of 1 -1/8 inches fits over the same diameter shaft or spindle place in an assembly. This bearing is placed at those points where regular movement and distance are needed. It is used in the system to aid stable movement, reduce vibration, and aid in proper positioning.
