The hose should be checked regularly for cracks, soft spots or wear — especially at high‑stress bends and at the wand/handle connection. Clean the wand and hose gently after each filtering session, and avoid tight bends that could damage the hose.

• Turn off the fryer filter pump, and let the oil supply cool and depressurize.
• Disconnect the old hose from the pump union nut.
• Clean the union fitting and inspect the adaptor and O-ring for any damage.
• Attach the new hose (7/8″ ID × 5 ft) using the included 3/8″ FPT → 1″ MPT adapter, W-739 wand & handle.
• Route the hose in a way that avoids tight bends (minimum bend radius ~6″) to prevent creasing or cracking.
• Secure any slack with clamps or straps, and then run a test filter cycle — check for leaks at the connections.

Common problems include hose cracking from excessive bending, leaks or seepage at the adapter if not tight or if the O‑ring is worn, and damage to the wand or handle from damage.
