The Star Mfg 2J-8579 Gas Fryer Pilot Safety Valve with Reducer Bush 1/2" is a compatible control part. It regulates the gas flow to the pilot assembly and closes the supply in case the flame is put out, to avoid the release of unburned gas. It is installed in the gas system of the fryer and is connected with thermocouples and pilot burners to sustain ignition conditions. In a commercial kitchen, it is changed during maintenance when the valve is no longer responding properly. This element is essential in assuring and regulating gas operation.
