The Southbend SOU1183676 Charbroiler Radiant Weldment Assembly 19" x 10.5" 7.5 lbs distributes the heat produced by the burner and transfers the power of the flame to radiant heat that diffuses throughout the cooking surface. Since the burner is used under the assembly, the metal surface absorbs and radiates the heat upwards to maintain a uniform cooking condition in the equipment. This is a glowing weldment assembly that is mounted in the interior of compatible commercial gas broilers or ranges that are mounted directly over the burner and under the cooking grates, where heat is transferred to food preparation surfaces.
