The Blodgett 41005 Thermostat is an essential part of a commercial oven that controls temperature with exactness. Its 48 inch cap and 1/4 x 6 bulb accurately senses oven temperatures. The temperature within the oven chamber is monitored and it operates. When the temperature hits the desired set point, the thermostat tells oven's heating elements to stop so the oven from overheating. In contrast to that, if the temperature continues to be less than the preset value, the thermostat activates heating elements to keep the cooking temperature at the right level. This precise temperature control allows for constant and identical cooking, is more energy efficient.
